The Credit Services Association

The CSA has a long tradition dating back to1902.

Originally entitled the Northern Counties Association this was later changed to the Association of Trade Protection and Debt Recovery Agencies.

In 1988 a merger with the 'Collection Agencies Association' created the first-ever single British Association for Debt Recovery Agencies and Allied Professions.

It is from such a proven pedigree that the CSA proactively serves and protects the interests of its members and their clients alike.

Clients prefer using CSA members as a way of guaranteeing them a professional approach to their work.

Many prospective clients will no longer accept agencies which do not belong to the CSA.  This is particularly so in tendering.

The CSA is responsible for the promotion of the 'agency concept' in the market place to encourage the use of agencies by potential clients.

The CSA offers its members professional advice and training.  Regular seminars and meetings offer a way of learning.  Exchange of information and experience among members leads to a greater awareness, knowledge of market conditions and opportunities.

Through membership of FENCA (Federation of National Collection Associations) the CSA promotes international trading.

CSA members are primarily in debt recovery although quite a few are in tracing and investigation.
